

Jeanelle has always loved words since she was a child. She loved reading
stories and creating stories. She loved bathing in her own imagination.
​
In middle school, she wrote theater reviews for the local newspaper, The Auburn News. These reviews, among various other genres she submitted, were recognized at the regional and national level through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In high school also was the first-place national winner for the Amnesty International "Change Our World" Essay Contest and a first-place state winner for the United States Institute of Peace Essay Contest for her essay on gender and peacemaking.
While at Brown University, she majored in Literary Arts and took courses in playwriting, poetry, screenwriting, and fiction. She continues to write poetry, short stories, plays, and essays. She encourages students to find their creative voice through leading creative writing workshops and creating literary journals in Wust, Germany and Providence, Rhode Island. She has most recently published her work in Agape Community's Servant Song as well as worked as a travel blogger for high school international exchange programs. Check out her work and press below!
